Dixie Power Kite Festival
April 25, 2026
Dixie State University Encampment Mall 10:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.
The Festival is held in April and is designed to promote reading as a habit and encourage students to engage in family-oriented physical activity. Qualifying students earn a high-quality kite or age-appropriate book for their reading efforts.
A wholesome,
uplifting, family-
oriented event
As an adjunct to the primary mission of the Kite Festival, contributions are made to the Washington County School Foundation for distribution to schools most actively involved in the Kite Festival based on attendance. Everyone can participate regardless of experience, training, financial means or physical abilities. There are no fees for parking, admission, and entertainment. In addition to kite flying, there are free children games and $1 & $2 fees for children’s activities including bouncy toys, and other rides.
